A Writing Check-in: Book and Web Series

Just a few months in and this is such an adventure. In a good way, for the most part. I’m always amazed by the fact that, even though you love writing, there are still days you just can’t get motivated. Some days I can write for a few hours with no problem. The points just keep connecting and I know the chapter’s solid.

Finding the balance between useful anecdotes and long tangents can be a pain. I often find myself trying to immediately edit what’s been written and not just letting the words flow. In other words, the process is going exactly as expected.

As for the web series I’m not revealing any details on yet, it’s going a bit slower than planned. Not because anything is falling through. I decided on a different approach in terms of story arcs and am mapping everything out to make sure the overall timeline (within the series) works. I have to say, one of my favorite resources when it comes to hearing other approaches is still the Nerdist Writer’s Panel podcast.

Going down memory lane with Portal 2 led to the discovery of this amazing project.

If you’re as impressed as I am with the BuzzFeed YouTube channels, this article is a great read.
