CAOLION Premium Blackhead Steam Pore Pack Review

CAOLION Premium Blackhead Steam Pore Pack

So fun story–I actually purchased this by mistake. I thought I was purchasing the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask (a future review). Needless to say, I forgot to read while clicking through pictures (and not writing down the correct name). However, that’s not to say this was a sad purchase.

I’ve been interested in trying different face masks because although my acne is minimal, getting rid of what remains (including scarring) and putting the moisture back in as the weather gets colder are so important to me. As a teenager, I was definitely someone who neglected my skin care because I didn’t have immediate issues. If only I had a time machine…

Anyhow, back to the product. So after using a cleanser, I took a moment to read through the directions and check out other YouTube reviews. Everyone kept saying the warm sensation (this is called a “steam pack” for a reason) was either delightful or painful. Great perspectives to take in as you’re about to put something on your face.

There’s a slightly warm sensation when you initially apply the product over your face. As you continue to rub it against your skin, that warmth increases, though not painfully (in my opinion). It’s once you’re washing it off with water that I suddenly felt the intense heat. I have a high pain tolerance, but the irritation was enough for me to stop using the product.

Concluding Thoughts

If you don’t mind heat when it comes to facial skin care products, definitely give it a try. If you’re more sensitive and/or don’t like the idea of creamy product around your eyes, hold off. It took a little more time than expected to get this product off my face, so that was another turnoff. This hasn’t deterred me from trying more products from the website because you’re not always going to get a winner. It was just interesting to have this new experience.
