Writing Samples

Over the years, I’ve written for a variety of digital publications. The niches were mainly music and pop culture. I’ve focused on the two I mainly wrote for below. Each platform has been linked accordingly.

Thank you! No worries. As irritating as it might sound, my best advice is “just start writing and wing it”. I’ve tried industry best practices, but I have the best time when I let the words go. When I first started, it was literally just a stream of conscious. Over time, I started taking note of my high-traffic posts and took the time if I wanted to write for my audience or let my audience find me. There’s the usual recs everyone gives: figure out your niche, posting schedule, etc.

Over the last year, I’ve altered back and forth from a formal schedule to only writing when I’m inspired/truly have the time. I like to bookmark sources of inspiration throughout the day and then review them to see if anything fits with my subject. What I love about blogging is that there doesn’t have to be a set standard–unless you’re trying to make a career out of it. Make sure it is a passion before you introduce the pressure of more advanced metrics and strategies.

If I didn’t answer your question clearly enough or you’d like to talk more, just shoot me an email at fetesha@animedancer87.com and I’m happy to help! Take care!

Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely
long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say,
I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog
writer but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any
helpful hints for first-time blog writers?

    I’d genuinely appreciate it.
